Hehe in response to Jac's mention of the sharing, here's what I learnt from Dallas instead.

I didn't expect what i would learn from the Psalmist setup & pracs last Sat actually. I was there to set up the PRC table and stuff, and stayed back for a while to join in the prayer and preparation.

Then Dallas shared from:
The Widow's Offering - Mark 12:41-44
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

i was probably unable to repeat exactly what Dallas said, but it really made me reflect a lot on myself. Esp since we have friends going on Campus Crusade missions lately. ok he said something like this, think about ur money (allowance / salary), if you're the kind who would do ur accounts. do you set some in Necessity, Miscellaneous, Savings? When you give to God, eg. offering or to pple going on missions (if you do), do you give out of Necessity, Misc or Savings? *he pauses to let us think* if you haven't been giving, would u consider starting to give? and out of which section would u give? it probably doesn't hurt v much to give out of ur savings. or even Misc. what about Necessity? i suppose giving from Necessity section means fasting - because u have less Food money. that really hurts ALOT.

Then consider ur time. Similarly, out of which part of ur time do you give to God?

it's not about how much u have, it's about the proportion.
