Hey guys...
after the service that my sis went to yesterday...she and her friends discussed quite a bit abt christianity. my sis had many questions to ask about the bible...many that I couldn't answer satisfactorily...we probably discussed some of the issues before but because I didn't consider these little doubts impt...can't really remember them...so here goes...hopefully you guys can help to answer or we can discuss in cell too...
- Creation vs Evolution. If God really created the earth, how do you reconcile the bible facts with what has been found archaeologically today? eg. dinosaurs, fossil rocks(platetectonics etc seem to point to evolution - ie .we morphed from apes - rather than creation), the judas controversy blah blah
She doesn't want "sweeping answers" about faith ie you just have to believe in the word of God... guess its just hard for her to believe in the whole idea of God when there are to her many apparent scientific and historical facts that seem to oppose the idea of creation.
yup...it would be great if you have any good website references too...dont want her to be reading misleading sites online.....
i guess as christians we might not question as much as non-christians and are more ready to override these doubts with our faith in God...but its impt to at least have a "good" answer when we are faced with such questions so we don't appear to be believing in something where there are so many questions we cant answer. that just doesnt reflect well to non christians. but I also know that whatever answers we might have is insignificant...what's impt it God's hand moving and working in their hearts and lives...just want to hear what you guys have to say...
