Hi guys! my apologies for being away in Tanjung Balai for consecutive 2 weekends without early notice.. let me first describe the place to u for those who haven't been there at all or haven't been there for a long time.

The buildings are all shophouses and quite a number of hotels. The streets are rather narrow and filled with litter.
the first time i went there this year was the last week of Feb. i went there with my parents' cell grp. the main thing we did was visitation. we visited a house by the sea. like a kelong type of house. then we also visited a house in the town area.. there was a kitchen on the first floor, a living room on the second floor, n bedrooms on the third floor! in singapore u will nv see this kinda house.
Our church there Grace Anglican Church, has been there for a few years already.. i think 2-3 years ba. we shifted quite a number of times and finally it is at this area called Baran Dua, and last year, the church was only 1 shophouse. This year, it has expanded to 2 shophouses! they took down the wall on the first floor.

the second week i went was with Persis n Joseph n Gail from Praise Fellowship. our main focus is helping the ladies in the Ladies Ministry learn to bake cakes, to bless their family members and also learn a new skill for livelihood.

as u can see, the space there is quite cramped.. there's just a table, an oven on it, n all the baking ingredients on the table.
we also conducted sunday school.

during service the people really worshipped. it's an encouragement to see their growth.

i'll let u guys know when i'm going again! maybe u'd like to join us.
