Sunday Service (Youth)

Speaker: Anita Benson
Message: Learn to Love your enemy
Book: 2 King.
character: Elisha

'Pray for your enemy(ies) for 40days or more...' Anita repeated that sentence for at least 3times, that's all my brain could absorb through that WHOLE message which lasted for 50mins.. hee hee...what hit me the most was this verse.

Taken from Psalms..

'Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law. Yet you are near, O Lord, and all your commands are true. Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever'
Psalms 110:150-152
She mentioned that we are always panicking that the wicked are near, but we never look how near is God.
Her analogy
Imagine a big white wall.. You'll just admire the whiteness of it. But imagine the white wall is stained with a black dot, you'll tend to focus more on the black dot, more than the pureness of the white wall. The harder and nearer you look at the black dot, the more you'll stare and focus on the dot.
Her conclusion
Look pass it, and you'll see that when the God is always there for you. When you pray for your enemy, you'll realise that God will do wonders, even in ways you cannot imagine.

After Service
The Cell group when for lunch at Seah Im. After that, we went to Cineleisure to watch Nicole Kidman and stupid ugly Sean Penn in Interpreter.
